What is the difference between old style gothic (90) and the Gothic style of today?
The true gothic style, was actually in the '80s, late '70s until about 1986. Trad called traditional or Goths. A goth goth is a name, and only a true goth, the music they love. A goth trad listening, and therefore takes the influences of fashion, bands like Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Alien Sex Fiend, and ext. There are all Goths continents in the world, and all cultures, history, religion, etc. It's like part of the same music, share some distaste for the general public conformist society, and who have similar interests. This is a very diverse and open and welcoming subculture to be in. I am a Christian goth, and it was a gothic lolita for 2 years and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat for 1 year. In fact, I just started, do not have much time and money to put in my appearance, so now this Victorian clothing is registered for the Church and other special occasions, and a traditional Gothic's just my dress usual.
