Is it fair to call Evanescence, Nightwish and Within Temptatin Gothic Metal?

I need a name to include all these groups, although not exactly them. What would you call?

For people who are really demanding labels, gothic metal "means that the bands mixture of death metal (grunts) with the symphonic metal (soprano, piano, violin, etc), but many people use "gothic metal" for all metal rock bands against women / the use of elements in his orchestral music.
